3 is a magic number – featured artist czee13

This series of blogs features the talented artists participating in ‘3 is the Magic Number’ exhibition in Bristol. The exhibition was curated by four Bristol artists – Jimmer Willmott, Jemma Davies, DIFF and GUTS.

Introducing UK based artist czee13.  He is  qualified in art history graphic design and fine art but says ‘My biggest qualification is life and how it shapes u on your path.’

His work at the moment is working heavily in the designer toy scene.  He painted a kidrobot munny live last year at New York comicon in front of 1000s of people which then followed on to a sell out run of toys at the clutter gallery in New York at Xmas!!

He says: ‘I will be returning to New York later this year to take part in the five points festival which is a true honour.’

Aside from the designer toys he is a free hand graffiti artist and has been selected once again in July to paint at upfest.

He says:‘Last year I produced the first upfest oscar toy to coincide with the festival which was a lot of fun.’

Truly an international artist his work (so far) this year will be Berlin, Philadelphia, New York and Miami as well as in Bristol at the 3 is a Magic Number exhibition at the Ropewalk.

About his work for this exhibition:  ‘I produced 3 metal discs depicting 3 flattened empty spray can robots … the idea was to convey the feelings of the empty can after creating something beautiful and then thrown aside.’

I love the Czee13 branding on these – plus they really look fabulous in the exhibition.

Czee13  also has a range of toys on this theme releasing at the end of April at Toycon UK  and in store.  He adds ‘So keep your eyes pealed … I am open for commissions but please be patient.’

You can see his three pieces of work at The Ropewalk in Bristol as part of the ‘3 Is A Magic Number’ exhibition- on till 14 April.
